Our primary goal is to provide high-quality and safe care to children who report to the emergency department. It is essential for the physician to remain updated with current knowledge of medicine. Recently, the emergency visits of children have increased for various clinical problems. This book contains eight sections and 135 chapters elaborating various key symptoms and diseases. Section I focuses on quality and safety in emergency medicine. Section II has described about triaging, resuscitation, and transport. The chapter on triaging in an emergency has been written nicely. The focus of section III is on symptomatology description and management. Commonly encountered emergencies have been discussed in a nice way in section IV. Trauma has been listed in chapters 103–115. Few chapters on surgical emergencies have been included in the book. In the last section, a brief description of common procedures has been made.
